A key event for the Arab Insurance Industry has come to a highly successful conclusion in spring of 2017. Insurance professionals from 16 countries in the Middle East and North Africa as well as Europe convened in Beirut on May 3 and 4, 2017 for presentations and discussions covering the vital theme of digitalization.

The conference explored questions of insurance entrepreneurship in the digital age, use of online distribution channels, measures to counter cybercrime threats and the tremendous growth potential of cyber-insurance under the “Digitalization in Insurance a threat or an opportunity “. On each of these topics, speakers represented insights from knowledge-leading corporations, insurers and reinsurers such as Microsoft, La Famille, Global Sign, AIG, Allianz, Munich Re, and Swiss Re. The event was organized by ACAL in collaboration with the General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF) and held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Trade in Lebanon.
